                                                    Line Lead 1st Shift

Tri-Pac, Inc. a contract development and manufacturing company (CDMO) specializing in liquid and aerosol filling for personal care and pharmaceutical marketers, is seeking an experienced Production Line Lead for immediate addition to our fast growing team. 

Job Description

The ideal candidate will perform all pertinent tasks involved in the production of the company’s products. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. This position is a company leader, key in the continuous improvement process. Problem solving and leading are vital attributes of the line leader.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for PPE and safety compliance.
  • Lead the Production Team.
  • Ability to problem solve and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Motivate and lead Operators to perform in a positive manner.
  • Capable training all line personnel.
  • Coordinate staging and de-staging components.
  • Maintain housekeeping and keep area clean and free of foreign components.
  • Capable of operating machines and production equipment, changing rolls of labels, making minor adjustments, and assisting with Change Over when required.
  • Monitor filling process and document accordingly.
  • Capable of code changes and proper documentation of changes.
  • Collect required samples; retains, customer samples, etc.
  • Able to perform all line work as well as QC checks.
  • Ensure that all product compliances are met in accordance with GMP.
  • Constant monitoring and recoding of packaging process.
  • Paperwork is completed in a timely manner, accurate and turned in before end of day.
  • Knowledge of staffing needs or highest product efficiency.
  • Responsible for continuous training and improvements.
  • Clear communication & able to delegate.
  • Document attendance using proper forms and turn in to HR daily.
  • Report all personnel issues immediately to Supervisor or HR.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  • 3-5 years in manufacturing or operations, preferably in a food/ pharmaceutical/ manufacturing environment
  • Education or experience in Manufacturing with an emphasis in Metric driven workplace, people skills and communication capabilities especially in liquid/aerosol packaging
  • Thorough working knowledge of Safety (culture change) and GMP/FDA
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement
  • Production experience
